Hello. My name is Mary Fielder and I own The Reiki Place. 

 

I have been a Holistic Health Practitioner for over 12 years. My journey as a healer started when a dear friend took his own life. He was taking plenty of anti-depressants and had been seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist for years. But none of that helped him out of his depression. I knew deep down that neither drugs nor suicide were the right way out of depression. So in that moment I decided to change the course of my life and I started studying and learning all I could about holistic health, alternative healing modalities, and how the body/mind connection works. I built a vibrant and successful practice in Colorado Springs until I moved here to Tennessee in December 2021. The reason I moved here is hard to explain, so let’s just say I followed my calling and knew there was healing work here for me to do - including my own. 

 

I no longer run an office since I don't work full time any more but I have chosen to work from home. I have beautifully equipped rooms here in Ooltewah, TN, dedicated to my practice and I believe you will find it safe, clean and inviting.

What I have learned is that there are two critical components to health - attitude and diet. What you eat and what you think, believe or experience, influence the physical body more than you can possibly imagine. Making the right changes, with the help and support of energy healing modalities such as Reiki, Biofield Tuning and Homeopathy, can help people turn around their lives and their health and I have witnessed many beautiful and some would say miraculous changes in people that I have worked with. I am just the catalyst. The body does its own healing when the right conditions are created. Most importantly I learned that the body is a system of systems. You are more than the sum of your parts, as they say. A human being is a complex and energetically sensitive interplay of mind, body and spirit. What you think affects what happens to you, your belief system limits you, and uncomfortable experiences you have lived through create points of resistance in your energy field subconsciously holding you back and preventing you from being your best self. Henry Ford, who built the Ford Motor Company said it very well:

"Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right."

 

In the last twelve years I have earned many certificates and qualifications. I was a Licensed Reiki Master Teacher with the ICRT for several years before choosing to leave that organization in 2024. I wanted to concentrate more time on the other modalities I practice - and I wanted to teach Reiki differently. The licensed teacher program included many additional hours studying and practicing Reiki at all levels so that my personal relationship with Reiki, and my skill with Reiki has grown tremendously since my practice began in 2014. Additionally I obtained an Advanced Diploma in Homeopathy, culminating with membership in the prestigious North American Society of Homeopaths.

 

Today I offer you the opportunity to explore new approaches to your health that include energy treatments like Reiki and Biofield Tuning and alternatives to medicine like homeopathy. I also offer spiritual and holistic counseling for people who find themselves on a spiritual awakening path who perhaps don't really understand what is happening to them and don't have people around them to turn to for answers. 

 

In addition to my qualifications in holistic health I hold a Bachelors Degree in European Studies and a Masters Degree in Space Operations Management. Before giving up my career to become a full time Holistic Health Practitioner, I worked as a software engineer and then a systems engineer and finally a project manager in the defense contracting arena supporting the Air Force and the Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command. In my last position I supported our forward deployed troops with innovative communications devices that worked over satellite communications. Earlier in my career I supported the upgrade of NORAD’s Air Mission in Cheyenne Mountain during and following the air attacks on the Twin Towers on 9/11/2001. ​
